Suddenly in Command - Class taught via Zoom. USCG Auxiliary InstructorThe captain becomes incapacitated or falls overboard, and you are suddenly in command. This boa ng safety primer is for those not generally at the helm and will help you to be prepared with the basics in case of an emergency. You will learn about your vessel, nomenclature, and opera ng principles such as star ng the engine, basic boat handling, your on-board equipment, and how to minimize boa ng mishaps. This course is a must for family members in case something happens to the boat operator.

This Medical Terminology course will be helpful for any career that uses medical terminology such as medical coding, health information technology, medical transcription, working as a health care professional, or working in the administrative side of health care.
This course will help prepare you for jobs related to health care by teaching you the language of medicine, including an overview of how the different organ systems function, information about many different medical disorders, and information about diagnostic and treatment procedures. As a result, this course will help prepare you for related college courses and for certification or admissions exams that expect you to have an understanding of medical terminology. For example, this course will help prepare you for the certification exam for medical coders and for the HESI exam which is often required for admission into nursing schools.
Students in Drawing II will engage in sequential learning experiences that encompass aesthetics and production and lead to the creation of portfolio quality works. Further development of drawing skills is the primary objective of this class and uses the human figure, landscape, still life and design work to help accomplish this goal. Students will learn various techniques and different approaches to drawing through the use of chalk, colored pencil, conte crayon, pastels, pen and ink, charcoal, and pencil. Drawing II students will critique their own and others works. Bring to class: materials list supplied at registration.

Music of the Christmas season is well loved and great fun to play on the ukulele! Are you ready to Rock Around the Christmas Tree, Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly, and Have a Holly Jolly Christmas? Duncan Perry, our popular ukulele instructor, has designed this program for ukulele players to learn to play well loved favorites. In this online program you’ll begin by reviewing strumming and chording basics then move on to easy-to-play carols and tunes. To get the most out of this program, you should know how to comfortably play the ukulele using chords in the Keys of C and G learned in Duncan’s Ukulele for Beginner's classes and be familiar with basic strumming styles. You will learn how to make a selection of bath and beauty products perfect for the home spa experience. In the class, we will make all natural solid lotion bars, cleansing sugar scrub cubes and dry face masks. You will leave the class with 2 mini solid lotion bars, a jar of cleansing sugar scrub cubes and a dry face mask. You will also leave with the recipes used in the class.
