Spring is around the corner and birds are searching for their new homes. In this class you will be guided through the creative process of decorating beautiful new bird houses. You will be provided with an unfinished birdhouse, and all the supplies for painting and decorating an outdoor or indoor creation that's fit for the birds.

Kittery Adult Ed. will be offering the following cooking classes in the kitchen of the Kittery Community Center! Join Beth Kozemchak, former restaurant sous chef, for these fun classes.

Learn how to make basic bread dough and all the things you can do with it. Bring a rolling pin, cutting board and a bowl.

Goat Milk Soap Making

In this class, you learn the basics of cold process soap making and learn how to integrate goats milk and honey into your soap making. The class will make a batch of honey and goats milk soap. Students will each leave the class with 2 bars of fully cured soap of the same design as made in class and a handout with the recipe and instructions for making goats milk soap at home.

My World as a Filmmaker

An evening of conversation, questions and answers with filmmaker Jim White about his 47-year career working all over the world, producing television commercials and documentaries.  Jim will present the latest tools for his trade, various cameras and drones and talk about the ever-changing film production industry and how new technology has made the production process (and postproduction process) easier, allowing more time to create and tell stories more effectively, as well as the ever-expanding need for video content in our rapidly changing visual world.  Then the documentary “The Many Lives of Fort McClary” will be shown, one of six documentaries he’s made about Maine seacoast history, with more discussion after, including new work for 2023.
